I originally joined Texas Royals because I was looking for a spirit group to be a part of the spring of my freshman year. I felt a strong connection to the philanthropy: the Darrell K Royal Alzheimer’s Fund. After joining, I made some awesome friends! Joining Royals as a freshman was great because I got to meet upperclassmen who could tell me how things work at UT. One of my favorite things about Royals is the school spirit; especially for football! Before every home game, we have a rose ceremony in front of DKR’s statue. This tradition is really sweet and makes me proud to be a longhorn.
