Darrell K Royal
Texas Royals supports a number of organizations in order to best serve our campus and community. Our main philanthropy is the Darrell K Royal Research Fund for Alzheimer's Disease. Texas Royals works closely with the DKR Research Fund to raise donations, participate in and promote events, and to build awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Dodging for DKR
Dodging for DKR is the newest Texas Royals tradition! This annual on-campus dodgeball tournament raises money for the DKR Research Fund for Alzheimer’s Disease.
The First-Annual Dodging for DKR in the Spring of 2015 had 18 teams signed up to take part in our tournament and helped us raise $1,303 for the fund! The Second-Annual in Spring 2016 brought 27 teams, and a total of $2,021.24 for the fund. This past Spring of 2018, we raised a total of $3,382.43! Thank you to all who came out and helped us surpass our goal and major thanks to our sponsors who made our event even more fun!
Texas Royals is excited to start planning the next Dodging for DKR and keep increasing our annual goal. It’s helped us raise awareness among students while maintaining a fun event that our student body looks forward to attending. Interested in sponsoring our event? Email us!

Alzheimer's Texas
Every fall our girls get together to fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Texas walk. This Fall of 2018, our girls surpassed our goal and fundraised $1,346. Special thanks to all of our donors who made reaching our goal possible!
Alzheimer’s Texas is an organization that provides support, referrals, and information for families who have members with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia problems.

Texas Thon
Texas THON is an on campus organization that hosts a 12 hour dance marathon to raise money for Children’s Miracle Hospitals. The money raised from all teams involved in the marathon is donated to Dell Children’s Medical Center here in Austin.
For the past four years Texas Royals has made a team and worked together to raise money FOR THE KIDS. Texas Royals raised $2,918 in 2014, $4,434 in 2015, and $6,351 in 2016!
Texas THON doubled their fundraising total from 2017 to 2018 by raising $281, 138.69.!
